Elderly man in hospital following Edinburgh car crash
An 85-year-old man has taken to hospital following a collision in Edinburgh's Piersfield Terrace.
He and a female driver of the other vehicle had to be cut free from their vehicles.
The emergency services were called to the scene at 21:11 on Monday after two cars crashed.
The elderly male driver was taken to hospital after sustaining injuries to his ribs and pelvis. The female driver was unhurt.
The road was closed for about two and a half hours while officers investigated at the scene. Inquiries are ongoing.
