Commissioner probes CS spray incident at Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy
The Police Investigations and Review Commissioner is investigating the use of CS spray by an officer during an incident involving a man at a Fife hospital.
The incident involved a 26-year-old man at Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy on Saturday 18 October.
A report will be submitted to the Deputy Chief Constable of Police Scotland.
Police Scotland confirmed the incident involved CS spray.
A Police Scotland spokesman said: "The matter was self referred. The officer has not been suspended during the investigation."
