Three injured after two-vehicle crash in Livingston

Three people were taken to hospital after a two-vehicle crash in West Lothian in the early hours of the morning.

The collision happened at about 02:15 on the A899 near the Lizzie Brice roundabout in Livingston.

The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said its crews attended the scene, along with the police and ambulance service.

One of the casualties had to be cut free from the wreckage by firefighters.

A spokesman said two men were taken to the nearby St John's Hospital with minor injuries while a woman was taken to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary with suspected spinal injuries.
