Police have released CCTV footage of a man they are trying to trace in connection with a serious assault outside an Edinburgh club in November.

The attack happened at 03:45 on Sunday 2 November near the Devil's Cut venue in Hope Street Lane.

Two men in their 20s suffered a number of injuries.

Police said they are keen to establish the identity and whereabouts of the man in CCTV images so they can speak to him in connection with an investigation.

The man is white with tanned skin, between 18 and 25-years-old, of stocky build and has a sleeve tattoo on his left arm.

At the time of the incident, he was wearing a dark puffa-style gilet and dark jeans.

Det Con Iain Wallace, of Police Scotland, said: "We are keen to establish the identity and whereabouts of the man pictured on CCTV so that we can speak with him in connection with this investigation.

"Anyone who recognises him, or who has any other information relevant to this inquiry, is asked to contact police immediately."
