Woman cut free after five-car crash in Edinburgh

A woman had to be cut free from her car after it was involved in a five-vehicle crash in Edinburgh.

The collision happened on Maybury Road in the city at about 08:50.

Firefighters used hydraulic cutting equipment to remove the roof of one of the cars and free the woman.

She was taken to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary for further treatment. The people in the other four cars were helped to safety by paramedics.
