Man sought after Kirkcaldy petrol station robbery

Police are searching for a man who robbed a petrol station in Fife.

The man entered a BP garage in St Clair Street, Kirkcaldy, at about 03:15 and threatened the shop worker with a weapon.

He demanded money and made off with a three-figure sum of cash. No-one was injured but the staff member involved was left shaken.

Officers want to trace two men who told the worker that a man was loitering outside the garage before the robbery.

Det Sgt Samantha Davidson said "It's imperative we trace the man responsible and I am appealing to anyone who may have information or any person who was in the area or visited the garage prior to the incident."
