Trial date set over Leith Links rape
A man is to stand trial in June charged with robbing and raping a woman in Edinburgh.
Faizan Ali, 24, appeared at the High Court in Glasgow, where he denied the allegations.
He is charged with robbing the woman at knifepoint, raping her and then attempting to rob her by trying to force her to go to an ATM.
The offences are alleged to have been committed in Leith Links on 13 November last year.
Judge Lord Turnbull set a trial date for June, with the case to be heard at the High Court in Edinburgh.
