Man dies after car 'altercation' in Fife
A 26-year-old man has died after what police described as an early morning altercation between two men in a car and two pedestrians in Fife.
Police said they were investigating the full circumstances of the incident which happened in Queen Anne Street, Dunfermline, at about 02:00.
They said it involved two occupants of a red Vauxhall Astra and a male and female pedestrian.
A man was taken to hospital but later died.
Det Insp Stuart Wilson, who is leading the investigation, said: "We'd like to reassure the public that we're pursuing various positive lines of inquiry to ensure the full circumstances around this incident are ascertained.
"A man has sadly lost his life and we're asking for any witnesses who saw this incident to come forward as soon as possible."
