Police appeal for witnesses as Fife church vandalised

Police in Fife are appealing for witnesses after a newly-renovated church in Dalgety Bay was vandalised with spray paint.

The incident at Donibristle Chapel happened sometime between 16:00 on 30 April and 10:00 on 3 May.

A local resident was passing the area and noticed the building had been covered in graffiti.

Officers have asked anyone who can assist in finding those responsible to come forward.

Sgt Kate Blackwell said: "The Chapel had previously been derelict until a major renovation in 2015, at a considerable expense.

"It is therefore extremely disappointing that anyone would look to subject this beautiful building to such unnecessary and extensive damage."
