Two pedestrians have been freed and taken to hospital after being trapped under a car that knocked them down on an Edinburgh road.

A woman with serious injuries and a man with "not so serious" injuries have been taken to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary.

Police Scotland said the road would remain closed for "the foreseeable future".
