Man dies after weekend road crash

A 40-year-old man has died after the car he was travelling in was involved in a crash in Argyll and Bute.

The incident happened on the A83, near Furnace, at about 1515 BST on Saturday.

Police said the man was a front seat passenger in a Suzuki Vitara which collided with a Vauxhall Vectra. He died in hospital on Tuesday.

The 30-year-old driver of the Suzuki and the 45-year-old Vauxhall driver are in a stable condition in Glasgow's Southern General Hospital.

Police have said a full investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash was ongoing.
