Parents charged with killing baby in Kilmarnock

The parents of a baby boy who died at home have appeared in court charged with his killing.

Five-month-old Aaron Egan died at a flat in Fullarton Street, Kilmarnock, on 16 July.

The child's father Thomas Egan, 44, and mother Chrystine Templeton, 38, were charged with culpable homicide at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court.

They were also charged with possessing drugs. They made no plea or declaration and were remanded in custody.
