Woman held over 'drink theft' murder in Glasgow

A woman has been arrested following the death of a 29-year-old man in Glasgow who is believed to have been attacked for his alcohol.

Paul John Woods was found seriously injured in Maryhill Road after watching the Braga v Celtic game on 28 July.

He died in the city's Southern General Hospital the following morning.

Police said a 19-year-old woman had been arrested in connection with his death. She is expected to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Wednesday.
