A double-decker bus has crashed into a rail bridge in the south side of Glasgow ripping off its roof.

The First Bus vehicle crashed into the structure in Cook Street at about 1420 BST on Thursday.

Police said the bus was not carrying any passengers at the time and the driver was uninjured.

A spokesman for Network Rail said an inspection had revealed that the bridge was undamaged and, subsequently, train services were not disrupted.
