Man treated after bedroom attack

A 22-year-old man is recovering in hospital after being attacked by a group of men in his bedroom.

Strathclyde Police said the men forced their way into a property on Williamsborough Terrace, Paisley, at about 0310 BST on Monday.

The man was taken to the town's Royal Alexandra Hospital where he was treated for injuries to his head and arm.

Police said there was no description of the suspects and the motive for the attack was unknown.

Det Sgt Andrew Piper, from Strathclyde Police, said: "We have no clear motive for the assault at this time, however, officers have been making extensive enquiries throughout the area.

"I would appeal to anyone who was in the area of Williamsborough Terrace at this time and who saw the group enter the premises to contact us.

"We would also like to speak to anybody to have may seen this group in the area of Lacy Street after the attack to come forward."
