Stabbed teenager Lee Grant was Strathclyde Pc's brother

A teenage boy who died after being stabbed near Pollok Park in Glasgow was the brother of a Strathclyde Police officer, it has emerged.

Lee Grant, 17, died in hospital following the attack which happened just before midnight on Thursday.

His sister, Sherrill, is a constable serving with Strathclyde Police.

Detectives investigating the case have appealed for witnesses and said there was nothing to indicate that the teenager's death was gang-related.

They are particularly keen to speak to anyone who witnessed a group of people involved in a disturbance.

The officer leading the investigation, Det Insp Pat Campbell, said extensive inquiries were being carried out and officers were studying CCTV footage to establish the exact circumstances surrounding the death.
