Men arrested over Shotts gun death

Detectives investigating the murder of a father-of-four shot on his doorstep in Lanarkshire almost five months ago have arrested two men.

Anthony Wright died ater being shot in Inverkip Drive, Shotts, as he left his home for work on 9 June.

Two men, aged 20 and 50, were arrested in connection with the 35-year-old's death and detained in police custody.

A report will be sent to the procurator fiscal. The men are expected to appear in court on Monday.
