Pedestrian, 15, 'critical' after Glasgow crash

A 15-year-old girl has been seriously injured after being hit by a car in Glasgow.

The teenager was crossing Crow Road at the junction with Anniesland Cross when she was struck by a green Toyota Yaris at about 1605 GMT on Tuesday.

She was taken to Glasgow Western Infirmary and then transferred to the city's Southern General Hospital where she is being treated for a head injury.

Her condition has been described as "critical".

The female driver of the car was uninjured but badly shaken.

Police have appealed to anyone who witnessed the incident to contact them.
