FAI ordered into child's death in Glasgow hospital

A fatal accident inquiry (FAI) is to be held into the death of a child at a Glasgow hospital almost two years ago.

Liam Boyle died suddenly, aged 21 months, in the Southern General Hospital in February 2009.

The Crown Office ordered the FAI following an investigation by the procurator fiscal.

An initial hearing will take place in February at Glasgow Sheriff Court. This will be followed by the full proceedings on 14 March.
