Two arrested over Inverclyde hospital stabbing

Police have arrested a 21-year-old man and a 15-year-old boy in connection with an attempted murder and a serious assault in a hospital car park.

Two men, aged 24 and 26, were attacked as they walked through the car park of Inverclyde Royal Hospital in Greenock at about 1930 GMT on Friday.

The older man suffered stab wounds, while the 24-year-old received cuts.

The arrested man and teenager are expected to appear at Greenock Sheriff Court on Monday.
