Glasgow man robbed after advertising jewellery

A Glasgow man who advertised an expensive piece of jewellery for sale had the item stolen from him in his own home, police said.

The 29-year-old was at home in Cordiner Street in the Mount Florida area of the city at about 1815 GMT on Friday, when a man came to the door to buy the item.

He threatened the man with a knife and made off with the piece, worth a four-figure sum, in a black Hackney cab.

Police said the robber was in his late 20s. They also want to find the driver.
