Two men killed in separate road crashes

Two men have been killed in separate crashes on Scotland's roads.

Brendan Connolly, 43, died after his silver Toyota left a snow-covered road and hit a tree on the A811 in rural Stirling on Saturday morning.

Mr Connolly, from Balloch in West Dunbartonshire, died after being taken to Stirling Royal Infirmary.

In Coatbridge, a 29-year-old man was also killed when he lost control of his car on the B808, just after midnight on Sunday.

Strathclyde Police said two men who were travelling in the car with him suffered minor injuries.
