Glasgow man charged after anti-cuts march in London

A 31-year-old man from Glasgow has been charged with violent disorder and police assault following the anti-cuts march in London.

Omar Ibrahim, of Glasgow Road, Baillieston, was released on bail and is due to appear at City of Westminster Magistrates' Court on 9 May.

He is alleged to have committed the offences outside Topshop in Oxford Street at about 1400 GMT on Saturday.

Police made a total of 201 arrests during the march.
