Gunman fires shot towards Drumchapel house

Police are appealing for information after a shot was fired towards a house in Glasgow during Sunday afternoon.

Strathclyde Police said a firearm was discharged at about 1400 BST in Summerhill Drive, Drumchapel.

No-one was injured and there was no damage to property in what police believe was a targeted attack.

A man was seen getting out of the passenger side of a car and firing the weapon, before being driven off at high speed into the Peel Glen Road area.

Det Sgt Kenny McDonald said: "Whilst at this time we do not believe this was a random attack, it is completely unacceptable for anyone to indiscriminately fire a gun in the middle of the day, in the middle of a residential area without any regard to who is about.

"There were at least two men in the car, the passenger who fired the weapon and the driver."

He urged anyone with information about the shooting to contact them.
