Nitshill Masonic hall raided by three masked men

Three masked men have escaped with a four-figure sum of cash after carrying out a robbery at a Masonic hall in the south side of Glasgow.

The men threatened two members of staff at the hall in Dove Street, Nitshill, at about 1840 BST on Monday.

The 59-year-old man and woman, aged 51, were not injured but left badly shaken.

The suspects were described as being aged between 20 and 25 years old. Police appealed for anyone who was in the area at the time to contact them.

The first suspect was described as being about 5ft 10in tall and was wearing a black bomber jacket.

The second suspect was about 6ft 3in tall and was wearing a red top.

The third suspect was described as wearing dark clothing.

Det Insp Craig Willison, from Strathclyde Police, said: "I would like to appeal to anyone who was in the area of Dove Street area of Nitshill yesterday and saw these men to get in touch.

"I am also keen to speak to anyone who may have seen anyone leaving the Masonic Hall around 1840 hours yesterday."
