Man arrested after Ian Langford shot dead in Wishaw

A 32-year-old man has been arrested after a man was shot dead in Wishaw, North Lanarkshire.

Ian Langford, from the town's Craigneuk area, was found suffering from serious injuries at a house in Glencairn Avenue at 0015 BST on Thursday.

Strathclyde Police said the 32-year-old was taken to Wishaw General Hospital, but died a short time later.

The 32-year-old man who was arrested is expected to appear at Hamilton Sheriff Court on Saturday.
