Man arrested over Christopher Devlin's death in Airdrie

A 29-year-old man has been arrested over the death of a man in Airdrie, North Lanarkshire, nine days ago.

Christopher Devlin, 30, was found bleeding in Whinhall Avenue in the town on the afternoon of Saturday 11 June. He died later in hospital.

Police had launched a murder inquiry and appealed to local residents to come forward with information.

The 29-year-old has been detained in custody and was expected to appear at Airdrie Sheriff Court on Tuesday.
