Murder inquiry after stabbing at house in Pollok

Police in Glasgow have launched a murder investigation after the death of a man following a disturbance at a house in Pollok.

Gordon Mooney, 38, was found seriously injured at his home in Barnbeth Road at about 2110 BST on Monday.

He was taken to the Southern General hospital but died a short time later.

A second man, aged 40, was also injured in the incident. He is in a stable condition in hospital. Detectives have appealed for witnesses.

A Scottish Ambulance spokesman said crews had taken two people to hospital following a stabbing.
