Glasgow city centre rape inquiry dropped

Police have said they are no longer investigating reports a woman was raped in Glasgow city centre over the weekend.

A woman had reported an attack in Goosedubbs Lane, off Stockwell Street, at about 0015 BST on Saturday.

Strathclyde Police said further inquiries had been carried out and the matter was no longer under investigation.

A 47-year-old woman will be the subject of a report to the procurator fiscal.
