Railway line crash victim named

A 47-year-old man who died following a crash on the A82, near Renton, has been named by police.

Neil Hardie, from the Fort William area, was killed when his Subaru Impreza left the road and went down an embankment and landed on a railway line.

The crash, which closed the line for about five hours, happened at about 1800 BST on Sunday.

Strathclyde police have appealed for witnesses to contact them.

They particularly want to trace a black car which was travelling north at the time of crash.
