Man hurt in Glasgow street hammer attack
A 44-year-old man is being treated in hospital after being attacked with a hammer on a Glasgow street.
The victim was walking along Muirhead Road, Baillieston, at about 16:00 on Friday when a man got out of a silver-coloured car and assaulted him.
He was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary suffering from serious head and facial injuries.
Officers are carrying out door-to-door inquiries and gathering CCTV images in an effort to trace the attacker.
The vehicle involved in the incident is thought to be either a Vauxhall Corsa or a Ford Focus.
Strathclyde Police said it was unclear whether the victim was targeted or it was a random attack.
