Graeme Ferry disappearance: three men charged

Three men have appeared in court accused of killing a man who disappeared five months ago.

Graeme Ferry, 25, was last seen in the early hours of 2 April in the Bellshill area of North Lanarkshire. His remains have never been found.

Andrew Shilliday, 38, Garry Smith, 33, and Michael Archibald, 30, appeared at Hamilton Sheriff Court.

They were all charged with murder and trying to defeat the ends of justice. They were remanded in custody.

Two women, aged 30 and 26, have also been arrested.

A Crown Office spokesman said: "The procurator fiscal at Hamilton has received a report in connection with two females aged 30 and 26.

"The report remains under the consideration of the procurator fiscal. The individuals have not appeared in court."
