Female dog walker indecently assaulted in Glasgow

A 40-year-old woman has been indecently assaulted while walking her dogs in the west end of Glasgow at the weekend.

The woman was grabbed from behind, pushed against a wall and attacked, in Scotstoun Street, near Fore Street, in the Whiteinch area at 23:45 on Sunday.

Her dogs, which had been let off their lead, returned and scared off the man.

The suspect, who made off on foot towards Dumbarton Road, is described as white, in his 30s, with dark hair and prominent ears.

Det Con Peter Sharp, from Strathclyde Police, said: "Although the woman was not injured this was a horrible and very frightening experience for the woman.

"Thankfully her dogs, who had been let off the lead, returned and scared the man off.

"I would ask that anyone who has information about this assault or who has seen someone acting suspiciously in the area, contact police."
