Scott McAulay jailed after £76,000 cannabis find

A man who was caught with cannabis resin worth an estimated £76,000 in his car has been jailed for three years.

Scott McAulay, from Chapelhall, North Lanarkshire, admitted being concerned in the supply of the Class B substance.

The High Court in Glasgow heard how he was caught after police, acting on a tip off, stopped his car on the M74 at Kirkmuirhill on 31 May.

The court heard that the 35-year-old was previously jailed for four years in 2004 for a drugs offence.
