Graeme Ferry disappearance: Body found in Cleland

Police investigating the disappearance of a North Lanarkshire man who is believed to have been murdered have found a body.

Graeme Ferry, 25, was last seen in the early hours of 2 April in Bellshill. A body was found by officers in the Cleland area at about 18:00 on Tuesday.

The remains have yet to be identified and Mr Ferry's family have been informed about the discovery.

Last week three men appeared in court charged with Mr Ferry's murder.

Andrew Shilliday, 38, Garry Smith, 33, and Michael Archibald, 30, appeared at Hamilton Sheriff Court.

They were all charged with murder and trying to defeat the ends of justice. All three men were remanded in custody.

Two women, aged 30 and 26, have also been arrested in relation to the inquiry.
