Brandon Watson guilty of grooming girls online for sex
A 20-year-old man is facing a prison sentence for having sex with two schoolgirls he groomed on the internet.
Brandon Watson, from Blantyre, South Lanarkshire, admitted preying on the 14 and 15-year-old girls and targeting two other 14-year-old girls.
The High Court in Glasgow heard how he was also caught with indecent images of children. The offences all happened between 2007 and 2011.
Sentence on Watson was deferred and he was returned to custody.
The court heard how Watson met the 15-year-old girl online.
He induced the schoolgirl to expose herself to him and perform a sex act before arranging to meet her.
At first the girl was reluctant to meet up for sex, but Watson told her that if she did not he would post pictures of her on the internet.
Watson met the girl at Buchanan bus station in Glasgow on 9 January this year and took her to his home where he gave her alcohol and had sex with her twice.
He then walked her to the bus stop and told her not to tell anyone what had happened.
Watson also groomed a 14-year-old on the internet and induced her to perform sex acts via a webcam.
Initially she refused, but Watson said he would distribute indecent images of her on the internet.
The court was told that the father-of-one had sex with the schoolgirl on six separate occasions between March and April, 2008.
Both girls separately contacted the Child Exploitation and Online Protection Centre for advice and assistance because they were fearful Watson would put indecent images of them on the internet.
Police became involved after the 15-year-old girl told her mother what had happened.
Officers later searched Watson's home and discovered 13 indecent films, some involving girls aged between seven and 10.
Judge Lord Matthews deferred sentence on Watson until next month and ordered background reports and a risk assessment of the danger he poses to young girls.
