Woman's body found washed up on Mull of Kintyre beach

The body of an unidentified woman has been found washed up on a Mull of Kintyre beach.

A tourist made the discovery at 12:45 at Rhunahoarine Point, Tayinloan.

Strathclyde Police said a post-mortem examination was due to be held, but initial reports suggested there were no suspicious circumstances.

Officers have been looking into missing person inquiries, including Northern Irish woman Karen Coyles, who disappeared on 11 September.

The 47-year-old, who went missing from her home town of Ballycastle, County Antrim, failed to turn up for work the following day.
