Man arrested after four raids on Glasgow shops

A man has been arrested in connection with a series of early morning raids on shops in the west end and southside of Glasgow.

Four stores - an RS McColl's in Broomhill, the Drive Supermarket in Hyndland, the Co-op in Kelvinbridge and the Supersave Store in Govan Road - were targeted on Friday 14 October.

Police said a 29-year-old man had been arrested and detained in custody.

He is expected to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Monday.
