Craig Jamieson to stand trial over death of daughter

A man is to stand trial in the new year charged with the murder of his four-month-old baby daughter.

Craig Jamieson, 32, is alleged to have killed daughter Abbie at his then flat in Glasgow's Dumbarton Road, Scotstoun, on 8 February 2008.

It is claimed he inflicted blunt force trauma to her head and body leaving the girl so severely injured that she died at Glasgow's Yorkhill Hospital.

At the High Court in Glasgow judge Lord Bracadale set trial for January.

Mr Jamieson, from Drumchapel, appeared in the dock for a preliminary hearing. He had his bail continued.
