Murder probe after body found at Thornliebank flat
Police have launched a murder inquiry after a 36-year-old woman was found dead at a flat in East Renfrewshire.
Strathclyde Police found Lynne Small's body at her property in Addison Grove in Thornliebank at 20:10 on Wednesday.
Detectives are trying to piece together Ms Small's last movements, and have appealed to anyone who saw her between 24 and 26 October to contact them.
Meanwhile, they want to trace a neighbour of the woman who has been reported missing.
Charles 'Chic' Walker, 52, was last seen on Monday at 19:00.
He was walking in the Main Street, Thornliebank, near to its junction with Kennishead Road.
Mr Walker is described as 6ft 1in tall, of stocky build and with short grey hair.
Police say there was nothing to suggest the two incidents were linked.
Det Ch Insp John McDonald, who is leading the murder inquiry, said police were carrying out door-to-door inquiries and studying CCTV footage.
He said: "I would appeal to anyone who has seen Lynne or been in contact with her between the evening of Monday 24 October and when her body was discovered to come forward as a matter of urgency, as they may have information that is vital to this inquiry."
