Police investigating the disappearance of a financial advisor have been searching a house in West Kilbride.

Lynda Spence, 28, has not been seen since the middle of April and Strathclyde Police have been searching a house on the town's Meadowfoot Road.

The Glasgow woman's car was spotted in Ayrshire a week after she went missing and her mobile phone was found in a wheelie bin in Kilbirnie in June.

She was last seen at her parents' home in Glasgow Harbour on 13 April.

The next day, she sent her mother a text saying she had gone to London.

Police said Ms Spence's car, a silver Vauxhall Astra, had since been seen in North Ayrshire and Argyllshire.

Ms Spence, also known as Lynda Zefaj, Lynda Palmer and Lynda Reilly, ran a business, Fraser Developments, which mainly arranged mortgages.

Not long before she went missing, the company experienced difficulties when several deals fell through.
