Ross James Drummond, 21, dies in Barlinnie Prison

A 21-year-old man has died in custody at Barlinnie Prison in Glasgow.

Ross James Drummond was remanded in custody from Glasgow Sheriff Court on Monday over charges of robbery and serious assault.

The Scottish Prison Service (SPS) said he died on Thursday. His family has been informed, as have police.

The SPS said that Mr Drummond's death would be the subject of a report to the procurator fiscal.
