Police name man killed by lorry in Govanhill area

Police have released the name of a 60-year-old man who died after being struck by a lorry in the Govanhill area of Glasgow.

Joseph Greg Moffat, who was known as Greg, was hit while walking on Calder Street at 09:40 on Wednesday.

Mr Moffat, from Govanhill died at the scene. The 37-year-old lorry driver was not injured.

Strathclyde Police want to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time and may have witnessed the crash.
