Cannabis plants worth £81K seized at Bellshill property

Cannabis plants with an estimated street value of £81,000 have been found at a property in North Lanarkshire.

Officers from Strathclyde Police, acting under warrant, raided the property in Holytown Road, Bellshill, at about 12:25 on Tuesday.

They discovered a cannabis cultivation site with about 160 plants. These were later removed from the scene.

In a statement, Strathclyde Police said inquiries into the discovery in Bellshill were continuing.
