The body of a man found two weeks ago near an East Renfrewshire golf course has been named as Charles Walker.

Mr Walker, 52, from nearby Thornliebank, had been missing for almost a month before his body was found near Whitecraigs Golf Club.

Police said there were no suspicious circumstances surrounding his death.

Two days after he went missing, his neighbour Lynne Small was found murdered. Police said they were continuing inquiries into her death.

Strathclyde Police launched a murder investigation after Ms Small was found dead in her flat on 26 October in Addison Grove, Thornliebank.

Mr Walker, known as Chic, was last seen in Main Street, Thornliebank, near its junction with Kennishead Road on 24 October.

Forensic tests have since confirmed that the body found on 21 November was Mr Walker.
