Paul McColl has £35K 'crime cash' seized

A man who was found with £35,101 in a car has had the cash seized under proceeds of crime legislation.

Paul McColl, 42, from Cambuslang, South Lanarkshire, was stopped by police in Paisley Road West, in April this year.

Glasgow Sheriff Court heard that when officers searched his car and found the bag he claimed: "I just deliver it".

The civil recovery unit successfully argued that the cash was either obtained through crime or was going to be put to unlawful use.
