A 135m-long container vessel has been refloated after it ran aground off Greenock on the Firth of Clyde.

Dutch-registered ship, Encounter, became stuck near the town's Esplanade after coming out of the Ocean Terminal at about 18:24.

Clyde Coastguard said the 7,500 tonne vessel was re-floated and it was being towed back to the terminal by two tugs at about 20:30.

Clyde Ports said there was no pollution and no leakage or cargo breach.
