Woman rescued from fire at flats
A woman has been taken to hospital after being rescued from a fire at a three-storey block of flats in Renfrew.
Fire crews were called to the fire at the second-floor flat in Moorpark Square at 17:15 on Saturday.
They said a large amount of smoke was being generated by the blaze.
Firefighters used breathing apparatus to rescue the woman and gave her oxygen therapy. She was treated in hospital for the effects of breathing in smoke.
Fire teams used jets to extinguish the fire and confirmed that the block of flats had been searched and residents evacuated.
A full investigation is being carried out into the cause of the fire.
