Man, 25, arrested after police stand-off in Scotstoun

A 25-year-old man has been arrested after an incident in Glasgow attended by armed response officers.

Dozens of police officers and armed units spent hours at the block of flats in Scotstoun, after being called at about 20:00 on Saturday.

Police, who did not leave the Kirkton Avenue incident until midnight, said ambulance crews had been on stand-by but no-one had been injured.

The man is expected to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Monday.
