Arrest over West Dunbartonshire football park death

A 49-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the death of a 37-year-old man in Alexandria.

Police were called to the town's Argyle Park football pavilion at about 16:00 on Sunday.

They found the 37-year-old seriously injured. He was taken to the Royal Alexandra Hospital where he later died.

The dead man has been identified by police as Mark Gallagher. The man who was arrested is expected to appear in court on Tuesday.
